Sacred Valley Tour with Maras Moray

The Sacred Valley Tour with Maras Moray begins with pick-up from your hotel located in the historic center of Cusco or from a previously coordinated meeting point. From there, we will travel by tourist transportation toward the Sacred Valley of the Incas, enjoying Andean landscapes, farming areas, mountains and panoramic viewpoints along the route.

Our first visit will be Chinchero, a traditional Andean village known for its textile heritage, colonial church and Inca agricultural terraces. Here, you will learn about ancestral weaving techniques, natural dyes and the cultural importance of textiles in Andean life.

Then, we will continue to Moray, one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley. Its circular terraces are considered an impressive example of Inca agricultural engineering, as they created different microclimates that may have been used to study and adapt crops.

After Moray, we will visit the famous Maras Salt Mines, a unique landscape made up of thousands of salt ponds located on the mountainside. This site is still worked by local families using traditional methods passed down through generations, making it one of the most interesting cultural and photographic stops of the tour.

Later, we will continue to Urubamba, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch with local and Peruvian flavors. This stop is perfect to rest and recharge before continuing with the afternoon visits.

After lunch, we will visit Ollantaytambo, one of the most important Inca towns in Peru. You will explore its terraces, ceremonial areas and stone constructions while learning about its strategic role during the Inca period.

Finally, we will continue to Pisac, an archaeological complex known for its terraces, viewpoints and impressive location above the valley. From here, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Sacred Valley while learning more about the agricultural, ceremonial and urban organization of the Incas.

At the end of the experience, we will return to Cusco. Arrival will be in the late afternoon or evening, depending on the pace of the group, traffic and road conditions.
