Upon arriving in Cusco, our team will be there to assist you at the airport. We will handle your transfer to the hotel, ensuring you feel comfortable and ready to explore this magical city. During the drive, you'll have the chance to admire the first Andean landscapes that welcome you to this region rich in history and culture.
Once settled into your hotel, you’ll have the rest of the day free to start discovering Cusco at your own pace. You can stroll through its cobbled streets, explore local markets full of crafts, and savor the delicious Peruvian cuisine. This free time will also help you acclimate to the altitude while immersing yourself in the unique atmosphere of the city.
Overnight in Cusco (double occupancy)
We will start the day by picking you up from your hotel and heading to the vibrant San Pedro Market, a bustling place where many Cusqueñan families shop for their daily goods. As you explore the market, you'll encounter a colorful array of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, breads, and cheeses. Our expert chef will provide an engaging introduction to these essential Peruvian products, explaining their significance in local cuisine.
After the market visit, you'll be guided to our cooking studio. Under the expert guidance of our chef, you'll start by preparing Peru's iconic cocktail, the Pisco Sour. Next, you'll roll up your sleeves to prepare a traditional Peruvian dish using the fresh ingredients you saw earlier, followed by a beloved Peruvian dessert. This immersive class is a deep dive into the cultural and culinary heart of Peru.
Overnight in Cusco (double occupancy)
At 7:00 am, our transport will pick you up for a 50-minute journey to the community of Cruz Pata. After a brief practice session to get comfortable with the quad bikes, you'll start the excursion. The first stop is the archaeological complex of Moray, known for its circular terraces used by the Incas for agricultural experimentation.
Continuing on the ATVs, you will descend toward Maras, home to more than 3,000 ancient salt pools. You will learn about the extraction techniques still in use today before returning to Cruz Pata. We expect to arrive back in Cusco at approximately 1:00 pm.

The tour begins at 7:30 am. Along the journey to Pisac, we will stop at scenic viewpoints for photos of the Sacred Valley. In Pisac, you will visit the archaeological site and its famous artisan market. Afterward, we continue to Hacienda Huayoccari for a delicious lunch, where you will witness traditional agricultural activities and a demonstration of the Peruvian Paso horses.
In the afternoon, we explore the history of Ollantaytambo. Finally, you will head to the station to catch the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.
Overnight in Aguas Calientes (double occupancy)
Early in the morning, we will take the 30-minute bus ride to the majestic Inca city. You will enjoy a guided tour of about two hours, exploring the most important temples of this archaeological wonder. Due to site regulations, the tour follows a one-way circuit.
After the tour, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch at your own pace. In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
Overnight in Cusco (double occupancy)
At 8:30 am, we head to our private campsite at the Cusipata River Lodge. After a safety briefing and receiving your gear (helmet, wetsuit, life jacket), we’ll drive to the river to navigate Class III and III+ rapids for about two hours.
After rafting, we return to the lodge for a hot lunch. You can then unwind in the sauna or enjoy the zipline, featuring two 100-meter cables over the Urubamba River, before returning to Cusco in the afternoon.
Overnight in Cusco (double occupancy)
Pickup starts around 4:00 am for a 2-hour drive to Cusipata for breakfast. From there, we venture onto a scenic road that offers views of the Ausangate Glacier. Upon reaching the trailhead, you'll hike to the summit of Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) to soak in the spectacular colors.
After exploring, the group retraces its steps for a delicious lunch in Cusipata before the return trip to Cusco, arriving in the early evening.
