4 DAY MACHU PICCHU TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL – CUSCO CITY TOUR
- The 4 Day tour to Machu Picchu will start since you land in Cusco city.
- A representative FROM KANTU PERU TOURS will be waiting for you at the Cusco international airport, to bring you to your chosen hotel. He will give you general information about Peru, Cusco until you arrive at the hotel.
- Afterward, you make the check-in in the hotel, where you have time to rest and have a light lunch before Cusco City Tour.
- Following the first day, in the afternoon, around 1:30 pm you start the Cusco city tour, our tour leader will pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit stunning Inca sites.
- For instance, The cathedral of Cusco, the temple of the sun that is called also Koricancha, the amazing fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Tambomachay, and Puca Pucara.
- Finally, the tour will finish around 06:30 pm in the afternoon, therefore, the transport and the tour leader will drop you at your hotel.

DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – AGUAS CALIENTES TOWN
- Following the 4 Day Machu Picchu tour before leaving the hotel you check out in the hotel and store the big luggage. Afterward, the tour leader will meet you at the hotel and take you to The Sacred Valley of the Incas.
- After 30 minutes, you stop in Taray View Point to have a short stop to get a wonderful view of all the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
- Subsequently, you arrive at the first archeological Inca Place Called Pisac where you visit the most important sectors with the tour leader.

DAY 3: MACHU PICCHU TOUR

- Before you start the tour our tour leader will take you to the Classic view of Machu Picchu. Try to delight in these stunning views because according to Macchu Picchu Policies nobody is allow to comeback the classic view after you start the tour. Unless you book Huaynapicchu or Machu Picchu Mountains included.
- Following the program, the tour leader starts the tour once you feel ready for it. He will show you the most important Inca places, like the Agricultural sector, the quarry, the temple of the sun, the temple of the window, the sundial, etc.
- After this amazing tour, you will have the chance to explore the last part of Machu Picchu on your own unless you decided to leave Machu Picchu.
- Before the tour leader leaves you at Machu Picchu Inca Site, he will recommend to you what time you have to take the bus to Aguas Calientes according to your train departure. In the afternoon you have the chance to have a delicious lunch in the town and don’t forget to be 30 minutes before at the Train Station.
- In the afternoon you board the train to come back to Ollantaytambo town, subsequently, our representative will assist you and bring you to Cusco city. Finally, you arrive in Cusco city at night.

TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:
- In the high season bus queue from Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes is huge. Hence you have to line up like 30 minutes before to board the bus.
- To visit Machu Picchu the Inca city, the Peruvian government set up some regulations since January 1, 2019, to avoid overpopulation and collapse of Machu Picchu.
- Re-entry is only possible if your ticket includes Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain. For this reason, it is recommended to go to the Intipunku or Inca Bridge before starting your tour of Machu Picchu with prior coordination with the KANTU PERU TOURS Reserve Area.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS FOR THE MACHU PICCHU TOUR?
Yes, visits to Machu Picchu are regulated by a programmed circuit in one direction with no option to return. Since January 1, 2019, re-entry to Machu Picchu is not allowed unless your ticket includes Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain.
CAN I CLIMB HUAYNA PICCHU AND MACHU PICCHU MOUNTAIN?
Yes, you can. To climb Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu mountains there is a limit, only 400 hundred people can climb Huaynapicchu and 800 hundred people can climb Machu Picchu mountain. Therefore, when you book the tour, you have to be sure about it. Because the reservations for either mountain must be several months in advance. There is an extra fee of 65 dollars to book one mountain.
You can’t get the ticket for either mountain in Aguas Calientes town.
Another important chance that you have with this ticket is to re-enter again to Machu Picchu city. Hence, you have one chance more to explore Machu Picchu on your own.
