Extreme Adventure in Cusco 7 Days

In the morning, at the agreed time, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the community of Cruz Pata.

We will begin our great adventure by passing by Huaypo Lagoon until we reach the archaeological site of Moray, famous for its impressive circular agricultural terraces. Here, we will enjoy a guided visit.

Later, we will take a fast downhill bike ride to the town of Maras, where we will have time to rest and enjoy our box lunch.

Continuing with the tour, we will ride downhill until we reach the Maras Salt Mines. This wonderful place has around 2,000 salt ponds, where local families still extract salt to this day. We will also have a guided visit here.

The approximate distance of this Cusco tour is 35 km, completed in about 6 to 7 hours. Along the route, we will enjoy views of high-Andean landscapes, glaciers, and valleys, making it ideal for adventure and photography lovers.

Finally, we will take our transportation back to the imperial city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m. Our transportation will take you to the city center, or if it is a private service, directly to your hotel.

After breakfast, at the previously coordinated time, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin one of the most emblematic routes of the journey: the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Our first stop will be at a natural viewpoint, where you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the valley and the majestic Andean mountains surrounding it — an ideal place to take unforgettable photos.

Then, we will arrive in the picturesque town of Pisac, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley. From there, we will go up to the top of the mountain to explore its impressive archaeological site, an ancient complex with agricultural terraces, temples, and unique views of the valley.

Back in town, we will visit the traditional Pisac artisan market, famous for its colors and the talent of its artisans, who skillfully work with minerals, textiles, and ceramics. It is the perfect place to buy authentic handmade souvenirs.

We will continue our journey along the Vilcanota River until we reach Urubamba, where a delicious buffet lunch will be waiting for us in a local restaurant, with a variety of dishes that highlight the best of Andean and Peruvian cuisine.

With renewed energy, we will continue toward Ollantaytambo, known as the last living Inca town. Here, we will visit its majestic archaeological site, a monumental construction that protected access to the valley. Its terraces, temples, and fountains demonstrate the advanced engineering skills achieved by the Incas.

At the end of the visit, we will board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes, a journey of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes through impressive landscapes that combine high jungle, mountains, and rivers.

Upon arrival, a KANTU PERU TOURS representative will be waiting to accompany you to your hotel.

In the evening, our guide will visit your accommodation to provide a short briefing with all the important details for your long-awaited visit to Machu Picchu the next day.

Today, you will experience one of the most anticipated moments of your trip: the visit to the wonderful citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as the Lost City of the Incas.

This is an experience that will remain in your memory forever.

At the agreed time, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and accompany you to the bus station. There, we will board the tourist bus for an approximately 30-minute ride along a winding mountain road that will take us to the entrance of this jewel of the Andean world.

After passing the entrance control, we will begin a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, during which you will discover the history, mysticism, and architecture of this amazing site declared a World Heritage Site.

During the visit, you will see some of the most emblematic points of Machu Picchu:

• The Intihuatana Solar Clock
• The Temple of the Condor
• The Temple of the Three Windows
• And other areas full of history and energy

At the end of the guided tour, our guide will leave you at a strategic point where you can explore on your own, take photos, and enjoy a unique personal moment in one of the wonders of the world.

After leaving Machu Picchu, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch at one of the many local restaurants offering delicious Peruvian cuisine.

In the afternoon, we will board the return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy. Upon arrival, a KANTU PERU TOURS representative will be waiting for you with a sign displaying your name to take you back to the city of Cusco. Finally, we will drop you off near the Main Square, or if you selected the private option, we will take you directly to your hotel, concluding a day full of emotion, history, and unforgettable landscapes.

The Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, experience begins early in the morning so you can make the most of the day.

At 3:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and depart toward the community of Cusipata, a journey of approximately 2 hours in comfortable tourist transportation.

At 6:00 a.m., we will enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast to recharge our energy before continuing the adventure.

After breakfast, we will continue for about 45 more minutes to the starting point of the route, surrounded by incredible views of snow-capped mountains, high Andean communities, and the impressive Ausangate Mountain, the highest mountain in the Cusco region.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., we will begin a moderate hike of around 40 minutes toward the summit of Rainbow Mountain. Our guide will provide useful recommendations and accompany you throughout the experience.

At around 9:30 a.m., we will arrive at the summit. You will have free time to admire this unique landscape, take spectacular photos, and learn more about its history and Andean symbolism.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., we will begin the descent and return to Cusipata, where a delicious traditional buffet lunch from the region will be waiting for us.

At around 3:00 p.m., we will start our return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m. near the Main Square, ending a magical day that will remain in your memory.

Get ready for an unforgettable experience in one of Cusco’s most impressive natural destinations: the magical Humantay Lake, located at the foot of the imposing Salkantay Mountain.

Very early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin this exciting adventure. We will travel for approximately 2 hours to Mollepata, where we will enjoy a comforting Andean breakfast made with local products.

Then, we will continue for about 1 more hour to Soraypampa, located at 3,850 meters above sea level, the starting point of our hike. Here, our professional guide will provide all the necessary instructions and useful tips to enjoy the route safely.

We will begin a hike of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, surrounded by spectacular landscapes, snow-capped mountains, green valleys, and the pure air of the Andes.

Upon arrival at Humantay Lake, you will be amazed by its turquoise waters, peaceful atmosphere, and the unique energy of the place. We will have time to rest, take incredible photos, and, if you wish, make an offering to the Apus as a sign of gratitude to nature.

This is the perfect moment to connect with the beauty of the surroundings and enjoy a spiritual and natural experience that you will hardly forget.

Afterward, we will begin the return to Mollepata, where a traditional buffet lunch will be waiting for us, ideal for recovering energy.

In the afternoon, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m. Our transportation will drop you off in the historic center, where you can continue enjoying the city.

Yes, the visit to Machu Picchu follows a scheduled one-way circuit with no option to return to previously visited areas. Since January 1, 2019, re-entry to Machu Picchu is not allowed unless your ticket includes Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain.

There may be lines to board the buses from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu and back, especially during high season. Our guide will provide suggestions to help you manage your time properly.

Although the tour includes walking, excellent physical condition is not required. However, you should be prepared to walk on uneven terrain and climb stairs in Machu Picchu.

Yes, the tour is suitable for children. However, parents should consider the amount of walking and the uneven terrain in Machu Picchu. We recommend bringing extra food and drinks for children.

In Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu, access to medical services is limited. We recommend bringing any personal medication you may need and considering travel insurance that includes medical assistance.

Lunch is NOT included; however, 5 breakfasts are included with your accommodation. Also, according to your 7-day Machu Picchu itinerary, the second day includes a buffet lunch, and on the third day you will be able to have lunch on your own in Aguas Calientes, where there are several tourist restaurant options.
