Next, we'll visit the charming Yanahuara district, famous for its white volcanic stone arches and mestizo-baroque style church, followed by the Eiffel Iron Bridge (designed by Gustave Eiffel) and Sachaca viewpoint—the city's highest lookout with breathtaking views of Arequipa's countryside.
The adventure continues with a visit to the Founder's Mansion, a historic colonial house filled with stories, and the traditional Sabandía Mill, which still operates with its original colonial-era hydraulic mechanism. We'll conclude by exploring the pre-Inca terraces of Paucarpata—an enduring agricultural legacy—before returning to the city center.

Itinerary
Start Time: 9:00 a.m / 14:00 p.m
Begin this charming tour with pickup from your Arequipa hotel, heading first to Carmen Alto viewpoint in Cayma district. From this privileged spot, you'll admire the Chilina Valley in all its splendor - the Chili River winding through farmlands, framed by the three majestic volcanoes (Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu).
Next stop is Yanahuara district, where you'll visit its famous white volcanic stone arch viewpoint and 18th-century mestizo baroque church, an architectural jewel representing Arequipa's cultural blend. You'll then cross the iconic Eiffel Iron Bridge (designed by Gustave Eiffel) to reach Sachaca viewpoint, the city's highest lookout offering panoramic views of the countryside with its farmlands and colonial houses.
The tour includes visiting the Founder's Mansion, a colonial-era house that belonged to Arequipa founder's son and served as Chilean headquarters during war. Then we proceed to Sabandía village to see its 18th-century hydraulic mill - still functioning with water power - where you'll learn about traditional grain milling.
Finally, we'll pass through Paucarpata district to admire its pre-Inca terraces, evidence of ancestral agricultural systems, before returning to downtown.
