Itinerary
The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco between 04:00 and 05:00 a.m., depending on the location of your accommodation. We will then travel along the southern route, passing through Andean villages and mountain landscapes until reaching the Cusipata area, where we will enjoy a tourist breakfast before continuing toward the Palccoyo route.
After breakfast, we will continue the journey toward Combapata and take a detour along a high-Andean road surrounded by natural landscapes, alpacas, llamas, and views of the mountain range. Upon arriving at the starting point of the hike, you will have a few minutes to prepare before beginning the walk toward the viewpoints.
The hike to Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain is short and accessible, lasting approximately 30 to 40 minutes to the main viewpoint. From this point, you will be able to observe the three rainbow mountains, the Red River, the snow-capped Ausangate Mountain and, weather permitting, take an additional hike toward the famous Stone Forest.
