Luxury Machu Picchu Tour 5 Days – Cusco and Sacred Valley

After breakfast at your hotel, you will begin a private exploration of some of the Sacred Valley’s most important historical and cultural attractions.

The first principal visit will be Ollantaytambo, an inhabited Inca town known for its stone streets, agricultural terraces, ceremonial structures and monumental archaeological complex.

You will continue to the Maras Salt Mines, where thousands of salt pools extend along the mountainside. The route then proceeds to Moray, an archaeological site formed by circular agricultural terraces traditionally associated with Inca experimentation and crop adaptation.

The final visit will be Chinchero, a traditional Andean community recognized for its agricultural landscapes, archaeological remains and textile traditions. Depending on the confirmed program, you may observe a demonstration of traditional weaving and natural dyeing techniques.

After the excursion, you will return to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

After breakfast, private transportation will take you to the train station to board the Vistadome service to Aguas Calientes.

The train’s panoramic windows provide extensive views of the Sacred Valley, surrounding mountains, agricultural terraces and the Urubamba River as the route approaches the cloud forest near Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will receive assistance before boarding the tourist bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu.

Inside the archaeological site, your private guide will accompany you along the route assigned to your entrance ticket. During the guided visit, you will learn about Machu Picchu’s architecture, agricultural terraces, ceremonial spaces, construction techniques and historical importance.

The exact circuit and route depend on official ticket availability at the time the reservation is confirmed. A preferred circuit may be requested, but it cannot be guaranteed until the entrance ticket has been issued.

After the guided tour, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes and enjoy the included lunch. Later, you will board the train back to the Sacred Valley, where private transportation will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.
