Itinerary
HUACACHINA TOUR FROM LIMA ITINERARY
Start: 5:00 a.m
We begin early at 5:00 a.m., picking you up from your hotel to start this exciting adventure.
Paracas, Ballestas Islands: 9:30 a.m
Our first destination is the charming seaside town of Paracas. Once in Paracas, we’ll head to the pier and set off to the Ballestas Islands on modern boats. You’ll be amazed by the wildlife, such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and thousands of seabirds flying between the islands and nesting on the rocks. You might even see sea lions approaching the boat. Additionally, you’ll appreciate the enigmatic Candelabro while our guide shares the various theories about its formation.
Ica, Huacachina: 1:00 p.m
Next, we’ll head to Huacachina. We’ll visit Nietto Winery, where the famous Pisco, Peru’s grape brandy, is made. You’ll learn all about the traditional winemaking and Pisco production process. After the tour, you’ll have the chance to taste the winery’s top products.
Dune Buggies and Sandboarding: 3:30 p.m
We’ll explore the Huacachina Oasis, a beautiful lagoon surrounded by dunes. You’ll enjoy the serenity of the area and take a walk to capture some stunning photographs. Then, we’ll head to the lookout point to begin an exciting dune buggy and sandboarding experience, riding through the desert dunes.
After these thrilling activities, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch (not included in the tour price). Afterward, we’ll head to Chincha for an optional technical stop at Racimo de Uvas Winery.
Here, you can taste a variety of wines, including Pisco, and the popular Cachina. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a folkloric dance workshop, enjoying the rhythms of the cajón and savoring typical Chincha sweets.
Return to Lima: 6:30 p.m
Finally, we’ll start our journey back to Lima after a day full of adventure and unforgettable experiences.
