INCA TRAIL TO CHOQUEQUIRAO 5 DAYS
DAY 1: CUSCO – CACHORA – CHIQUISKA
This day we will start our incredible 5-day trek to Choquequirao crossing the beautiful Apurimac canyon.
DAY 2: CHIQUISKA – SANTA ROSA – MARANPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO
This day we will descend to the deepest part of the Apurimac Canyon and we will ascend to Choquequirao to wait for the great visit of the next day.
DAY 3: CHOQUEQUIRAO
This day we will visit the incredible citadel of Choquequirao, known as the other Machu Picchu.
DAY 4: CHOQUEQUIRAO – CHIQUISKA – COCAMASANA
We will begin the return enjoying the beautiful surrounding landscape.
DAY 5: COCAMASANA – CAPULIYOC – CONOC HOT SPRINGS – CUSCO
We will finish this fantastic tour arriving at Capuliyoc. In addition, on the return we will take advantage of visiting the Hot Springs of Conoc.
itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO – CACHORA – CHIQUISKA
We will start our adventure early in the morning, our transport together with our guide will pick you up from your hotel and then we will travel for 4 hours towards the town of San Pedro de Cachora where you can have breakfast. After breakfast, we will continue the trip to Capuliyoc where we will start our walk. There we will also meet our cook and our muleteer who will accompany us throughout the route.
We will travel a smooth path to Chiquiska witnessing the spectacular Apurimac Canyon, also if we are lucky we will be able to see the flight of the condors, the sacred bird of the Incas.
Upon reaching Chiquiska, we will set up our camp. Before sleeping, we will have tea time and a delicious dinner.

DAY 2: CHIQUISKA – SANTA ROSA – MARANPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO
On the second day, our walk will begin at 4 am after a delicious breakfast because on sunny days the temperature is very high.
The first hour we will descend and arrive at Playa Rosalina and then we will begin a hard ascent of 1500 meters for approximately 4 hours.
Our lunch will be in the town of Marampata where you can find some rental bathrooms.
Finally, we will continue our walk for 2 more hours until we reach our camp in Choquequirao where we will spend the night after a delicious dinner.

Overnight in Choquequirao
DAY 3: CHOQUEQUIRAO
Finally, after 2 very challenging days, we will visit the wonderful Choquequirao, a beautiful citadel that is known as the other Machu Picchu or as the sister of Machu Picchu, for its beauty, complexity and its great resemblance.
Choquequirao began to be excavated relatively recently, and still has many places to be excavated, according to archaeologists, it is even larger than Machu Picchu.
We will visit the ceremonial area, the flame sector, the water temple, etc. We will have plenty of time to take beautiful souvenir photos.
Our overnight stay will be in the same place as the night before.

DAY 4: CHOQUEQUIRAO – CHIQUISKA – COCAMASANA
After a delicious breakfast, we will start the walk, the first hour will be quite smooth until Maranpata. Then we will begin the descent to Playa Rosalina, the deepest part of the Apurimac Canyon. We will continue uphill for 1 hour to Chiquika where we will have lunch.
The walk will continue for 2 more hours to Cocamasana, where we will spend the night after a delicious dinner.

Overnight camping in Cocamasana
DAY 5: COCAMASANA – CAPULIYOC – CONOC SPRINGS – CUSCO
On the last day of our incredible trek to Choquequirao we will begin our journey after a nutritious and delicious breakfast.
We will arrive at Capuliyoc after a walk of approximately 3 hours where we will say goodbye to our muleteer. We will board our transportation that will take us back to Cusco. On the return route we will have the possibility to visit the archaeological site of Saywite (Optional visit) and the hot springs of Conoc (Optional visit).
Our chef will prepare the last lunch and then say goodbye to us.
Finally, after 3 hours of travel we will arrive at your hotel in Cusco
The knowledge hot springs are natural springs that you can enjoy. Don’t forget that you have to pay the entrance there. Meanwhile, our chef will prepare the last lunch. Finally, after 03 hours you arrive in the city of Cusco, our transport will leave you at your accommodation.
