Itinerary
Pickup and Transfer to Chinchero
- We will start with a pickup from your hotel at 9:00 am, heading to the district of Chinchero (35 minutes from Cusco). A rural road leads us to the community of Ocutuan-Umasbamba.
Traditional Welcome and Accommodation
- Upon arrival, the host family greets you with traditional music, dances, and flower necklaces. After the welcome, you will settle into your room in the family home and learn about their community organization.
Immersive Daily Activities
- Culinary Experience: Help the family prepare a typical lunch using fresh, local ingredients.
- Community Life: Participate in herding alpacas and sheep, collecting firewood, and gathering natural plants used for dyeing wool.
- Traditional Evening: Prepare and share a traditional dinner with the family, exchanging stories by the fireside.

Community Tour and Textile Workshop
