Itinerary
The tour begins at approximately 8:30 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel located in the historic center of Cusco. From there, we will depart by tourist transportation toward the Sacred Valley, enjoying Andean landscapes, mountains, farmland and traditional villages along the way.
Our first stop will be Chinchero, a town known for preserving ancient textile techniques. Here you will learn about the natural wool-dyeing process, the creation of Andean textiles and the meaning of the designs that form part of the cultural identity of the local communities.
We will then continue to Moray, one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in Cusco. Its circular terraces, built at different levels, may have been used by the Incas as an agricultural experimentation center, taking advantage of the microclimates on each terrace to study different crops.
Afterwards, we will visit the famous Maras Salt Mines, a unique landscape formed by hundreds of salt pools located on the mountainside.
