Experiential Tourism in Chinchero Cusco | 2 Days

The second day begins with a typical breakfast prepared by the host family. Then, you will walk through the community to discover its streets, local church and part of the daily life of its residents.

Later, you will participate in an Andean textile workshop, where you will learn about wool shearing, dyeing with natural plants, traditional weaving and the cultural meaning of the designs. You will also have the opportunity to purchase handicrafts directly from local artisans.

Afterwards, we will visit Piuray Lagoon, an important natural area for the community. There, you will learn about its history, its cultural value and some traditional agricultural techniques such as plowing, potato harvesting or the preparation of a huatia, depending on the season and local availability. Finally, we will enjoy a farewell lunch before returning to Cusco.

To complement the experience, you may request an optional visit to the Chinchero archaeological center, considered one of the most important cultural attractions in the area. The Tourist Ticket is required for this visit and is not included in the tour price.
