DAY 1: WELCOME TO CUSCO 

upon your arrival, We will welcome you at the airport in Cusco and transfer you to your Hotel. The rest of the day will be free to explore Cusco.

DAY 2:  CUSCO CITY TOUR  (AFTERNOON)

In the afternoon you will start the Cusco city tour, around 01:30 pm. Exploring Stunning Archeological Inca places, our tour leader and the transport will pick you up from the hotel. This Cusco day trip will inspirit you for the next Stunning Inca places.

The first Archeological Place today will be The temple Of the san Called also Koricancha, followed by the Megalytic construction of Sacsayhuaman. Last but not least, you visit Q’enqo the temple of the  Puma, The fortress of Puca Pucara, and The temple of the Water of Tambomachay.

End of this Cusco day trip at 06:30 approx.

DAY 3: SACRED VALLE TOUR

PISAC

The tour to the Sacred Valley starts At 7:30 am, where our tourist transport will pick you up from your hotel, and then start our adventure through the mountains on the way to Pisac.

On the way, you will make some stops, where we will be able to take pictures and appreciate the sacred valley of the Incas from a beautiful touristic viewpoint. Once in Pisac, you can visit its archaeological center: full of terraces and temples; and of course its artisan market.

URUBAMBA

Afterward, you will go through the Sacred Valley to the town of Urubamba, where you will stop to take our lunch in a beautiful tourist restaurant, trying different types of dishes and unique flavors that can only offer you a great buffet lunch.

OLLANTAYTAMBO

In the afternoon you will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, you will know its history, magic, culture

DAY 4: MORAY AND THE SALT MINES OF MARAS +TRANSFER TO AGUAS CALIENTES TOWN

Moray

At 8 am, our tourist transport will pick you up from your hotel, then start our adventure through the mountains on the way to Moray located in the Maras Region. Once there we can learn about the importance of this place, its function in the Inca era and of course Take great photos of this amazing place.

The Salt Mines 

We will go to the town of Maras to observe its colonial-style covering the Spanish streets and gates. After 15 more minutes in our tourist transport, we will arrive at the Salt Mines of Maras, an impressive place with more than 3,000 salt deposits, which are still being exploited by the local population.

Finally, you will take you the train station to go  from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes Town

DAY 5:  MACHU PICCHU TOUR

Early in the morning after breakfast (According to the time entrance ticket to Machu Picchu) the tour leader will come to the hotel and take you to take the bus toward Machu Picchu Inca city. You will travel for 30 minutes until you reach Machu Picchu Control. It is important to carry the original Passport since the tickets to Machu Picchu are personal.

Kantu Peru tours will give you a unique experience in Machu Picchu because our tour leaders will be patients when you visit this new wonder of the world. You will have time to take some pictures of the classic view. Then, you have a guided tour for about two hours, visiting the most important temples and sectors from Machu Picchu.

It is important that you have to know that there are some restrictions to do in Machu Picchu, for example, the tour is one way, it is not allowed to come back to the places already visited. Machu Picchu ticket is just one entrance unless you book in advance Machu Picchu city plus Huaynapicchu Mountain you have the chance to re-enter to the Inca city again.

Finishing this amazing Cusco to Machu Picchu 2 days’ experience you will take the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes town, where you will have a delicious lunch at the Munaycha Restaurant.

In the afternoon (according to your train schedule), you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your name. He will drop you at your hotel in Cusco city.

DAY 6: THE SUN’S ROUTE

The incredible South Valley Tour starts at 6:00 am approx. and the pickup is from your selected hotel in Cusco City.

In the morning at the agreed time, our transportation will pass through your hotel to pick you up and start the magic South Valley Tour Cusco towards the South East of Cusco on the route Cusco – Puno.

Check-in time for boarding tickets and baggage check-in 7:00 a.m. Departure, we will visit:

known as La Sistina de Los Andes for the beauty of its murals, the gold leaf work, and the paintings of the Cusco school.

Raqchi Inca Archaeological Complex.

Temple of the god WIRACOCHA, the supreme Inka deity, we will find the largest number of Colcas (Barns) we will also see magnificent stone and adobe buildings.

Raya Pass

between the cities of Cusco and Puno (4335 a.s.l) where the famous snow-capped CHIMBOYA is located from where the AMAZONAS river is born. Where tourists can take photos of the landscape.

Museum of Pukara.

Located East of the city of Puno, in this museum we can find ceramics and sculptures representing zoomorphic figures, among them the famous sculpture the supreme cutthroat.(HATUNÑAQAC)

DAY 7: FULL DAY UROS  AND TAQUILE ISLANDS

the Uros, Amantani, and Taquile Islands, are beautiful places located in the highest lake in the world where you will live the experience of an intact culture.

ISLAND OF THE UROS – ISLAND OF AMANTANÍ (3663 M.S.N.M.)

Our Kantu Peru Tours representative will pass by your hotel at 07:30 hrs. Approximately where we will go with our tourist transport to the port of Puno to board the boats that will take us on this adventure, we go to the Uros floating islands, where our guide will explain the living culture of this place and then have free time to explore by yourself.

Then go to the Amantani 2 hours and 30 minutes approximately where we will be welcomed by residents of the area, accompanied by the families we will have a short hike 25  approximately minutes until we get to the family houses where we will have typical lunch food of the Zone base on trout

After lunch, we settle down and rest to take a walk to the top of the island to see the Inca ceremonial temples “Pachamama and Pachatata” (4038 m.a.s.l).

appreciate beautiful views of the lake and then descend to the family houses where they can enjoy a delicious dinner with the local people. the families organize an Andean Show where we can dance and wear the local clothing.

Day 8: TAQUILE ISLAND – PUNO PORT (3810 M.S.N.M.)

We will have a nutritious breakfast prepared with products that the inhabitants work on the island and then we will go to the Amantani port take the boat that will take us to the island of Taquile. Where we will have a walk to the main square from where we can observe the island and learn more about the customs and textiles.

Then have free time to enjoy the landscape and have lunch in a restaurant (local food) and then descend to the Taquile port then we will return in our boat to the city when we arrive at the port of Puno our transport will be waiting to take you to your hotel.

DAY 9: JOURNEY TO COLCA CAÑON 

Between 6:00 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. Kantu Peru Tours will pick you up from your hotel in Puno To board and leave Puno at 06:30 AM., (6 hours of travel approx) along the way to Chivay, we will visit 3 places: Lagunillas, bird watching flamingos, Andean gulls, and mallards.

Pampa Cañahuas: where you can see the rock formations of the place and camelids such as vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas, then we will do third stop, in the Mirador Patapampa of the Volcanoes, about 4,950 meters above sea level.

Where you can appreciate the Misti, Chachani, Ampato volcanoes. Around 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Approximately, arrival in Chivay (Installation at the hotel, Buffet Lunch) optional if you would like you can go to the relaxing thermal baths (La Calera) medicinal thermal waters. the range between 35º to 38º Celsius.

DAY 10: CAÑON DEL COLCA AND FLIGHT OF THE CONDORS 

At 06:00 am we will have a nutritious Andean breakfast and around 06:30 am  Our representative will pick you up from the hotel to go to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, a strategic observation point of the canyon, and see the spectacular flight of the condor where we can take several photographs and then,

take our tourist transport and stop at the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque; to appreciate beautiful colonial churches, as well as the Chocotico and Antahuilque viewpoints, from where we will appreciate and learn about the impressive terraces of the valley, the pre-Inca tombs.

Arrival time to Arequipa 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Arrival to Arequipa.

DAY 11: AREQUIPA PEDESTRIAN CITY TOUR + SANTA CATALINA CONVENT

Our representative from Kantu Peru tours will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and we will start with our pedestrian tour and we will go to go to the church of the Company where we will have an explanation about this fantastic place.

The company is a construction carved in ashlar or volcanic stone, then we will visit Main Square the Plaza de Armas-The Cathedral of Arequipa which is the main church and was built entirely in ashlar (stone of volcanic origin).

Therefore, we can take several photos then, we will go to the archbishopric of Arequipa, a beautiful construction carved in pink ashlar with an imposing facade where we will have a brief explanation and then we will go to the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco de Arequipa located in the historic center of Arequipa.

It is characterized by ashlar walls and a single nave and this build have a mestizo style.

To then go to the Monastery of Santa Catalina (In this beautiful place you can explore by yourself (Optional) or you can take an Internal Guide of the Monastery) where you can appreciate the religious architecture of the Viceroyalty and learn about the activities inside the monastery as well as culture, tradition, and religiosity.
