HUAYNA PICCHU
This beautiful place called Wayna Picchu means Young Mountain. Some investigations conclude that in the time of the Incas this place serves as a communications center.
It is a walk of 2 hours way up and 30 minutes way down approximately, of high moderation. It is a mountain with precipices and many steps and it is not recommended for people suffering from vertigo. This is just a perfect place for people who enjoy extreme experiences, who love and appreciate nature and landscapes.
LOCATION:
It is located north of Machu Picchu at 2693 m.s.n.m. You need the steps to get over some parts of the road, in fact, is visually terrifying and it’s a beat dangerous.
ACCESS:
The entry to the mountain is located near to the Sacred Rock in Machu Picchu.
ATTRACTIONS:
This incredible site covers the unique Temple of the Moon; that was built inside a natural cave and a beautiful and unique landscape of the jungle.
ADVANTAGE:
It is a unique place that offers one of the best panoramic views of the Inca City.
DISADVANTAGES:
This route is quite dangerous because the precipices surround it.

MACHU PICCHU MOUNTAIN
This place offers the best view of the Inca city of Machu Picchu and the hill of Huayna Picchu, Therefore, this is located in the highest mountain that surrounds the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
It is located at 3082 m.s.n.m. in front of Huayna Picchu and to the left of the traditional road.
It offers fewer steep roads, it is safer and visually less terrifying, is a walk of 2 km approximately.
ACCESS:
The entrance is located up to the viewpoint of the House of the Guardian.
ATTRACTIONS:
During the walk, you will find a great variety of orchids, butterflies, and birds typical of the region.
ADVANTAGE:
The hiking trails are less steep. Also from the top, you can get the panoramic views of the Inca City and the Huayna Picchu Mountain.
DISADVANTAGES:
This route has not archaeological remains but you can appreciate the biodiversity and beautiful landscapes.
