WELCOME TO LIMA + CITY TOUR (IN THE AFTERNOON)

When your international flight arrives in Lima, look for your Kantu Peru tours would be holding a sign with your name on it! We know you’ll most likely be a little tired after your long flight, so we’ll save you the stress and bring you straight to your hotel where you can shake off that icky flight feeling with a shower and rest before starting your city tour.

Our Kantu Peru Tours representative will pick you up from your hotel to start this fantastic tour where we will visit the most modern districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. We will visit the Financial Center, the Golf, the Olivar park, the Huaca Pucllana a pre-Inca pyramidal temple that still survives the urban expansion where our guide will explain about history of this majestic place and then we will go towards Parque del Amor located in Miraflores, from where we can appreciate the majestic Pacific Ocean.
Colonial Lima
To continue with this adventure, we will go to the Lima Historic Center, declared by UNESCO in 1991 Cultural Heritage of Humanity, due to beautiful architecture. where the Spanish established in the 16th century, we will visit the Plaza San Martín, the balconies and old mansions, the Plaza Mayor where we will appreciate the most important buildings such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop’s Palace, Municipal and the crypt of Francisco Pizarro – founder of the city of Lima.Later, ending the tour, return to your respective hotel in Lima.

DAY 2: FULL-DAY HUACACHINA AND PARACAS TOUR

In the morning We will pick you up from your hotel in Lima from 4:30 am to 5:00 a.m. approximately.

We will enjoy a beautiful day; full of emotion, sports, and nature. We will visit three beautiful places. We will arrive at the Ballestas Islands in the Paracas reserve, where we will take some boats. During this 2-hour tour. Then we will continue to the islands where you will enjoy the fauna of this beautiful place, such as the variety of birds such as pelicans, sea lions, and Humboldt penguins.

Continuing our way we will head towards the Oasis of Huacachina where we will see a natural lagoon surrounded by more than 58 thousand kilometers of white sand, a natural paradise, here we will take some Buggys and at full speed, we will enter the dunes for later Sandboarding in dunes from 15 to 25 stories high, it will be full of fun!.
We will also have the opportunity to visit an Ica Vineyard and winery which leads us to the Ica Valley where good grapes abound to make wine and pisco, considered by many to be the best in Peru. Finally, we will return to Lima.

FLY TO PUERTO MALDONADO (DOMESTIC FLIGHT MUST BE BEFORE 13:00 HOURS)

According to your flight departure time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Lima and will transfer you to the Airport and then you will fly to Puerto Maldonado. Once you will arrive there our representative will be waiting for you and will take you to the port of shipment and join a journey by boat to the lodge. Your first taste of the Amazon cuisine will be in the river while you let the city behind to enjoy the amazing jungle landscapes

Posada Amazonas Lodge awaits – a spacious ecolodge, with a bar, a massage center, and buffet service in the heart.

This afternoon join a first group hiking leads to the 40-meter scaffolding Canopy Tower. From atop you obtain spectacular views of the vast expanses of standing forest cut by the Tambopata River winding through the middle.

EXPLORE JUNGLE – macaw clay lick

For one of the best tropical bird experiences in the Amazon, you need to visit the Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick. Due to nutrients, most likely salt, found in the cliff soil, the Clay Lick attracts dozens of species of birds. From huge Red and Green Macaws to Mealy Parrots, the birds flock here to munch on nutrient-rich clay. The macaws are the largest — and loudest — of the bunch, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who sees them.

The Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick is one of the most stunning wildlife spectacles in the world, making it a must-see for travelers and families who love nature. The humid jungle air fills with the macaw’s screeches as they settle into trees above the bluffs, swooping down to feed on the clay. RIVER CROSSING IN PUERTO MALDONADO- RETURN TO THE AIRPORT AND FLY TO CUSCO CITY (DOMESTIC FLIGHT MUST BE AFTER 11:30 HOURS)

Our adventure in the Amazon jungle ends today.

Returning through the exuberant vegetation of the river to the Puerto Maldonado airport. Where we will observe wildlife, while the forest wakes up. looking out for Amazonian fauna from our boat, always with the assistance of one of our experienced naturalist guides. Once you are at Puerto Maldonado airport you will board the plane. And once you will arrive in Cusco city your Kantu Peru host will be waiting for you at the airport and then will take you to your hotel to rest.

HALF-DAY CUSCO CITY TOUR (IN THE AFTERNOON)

In the afternoon you will start the Cusco city tour, around 13:00pm. Exploring Stunning Archeological Inca places, our tour leader and the transport will pick you up from the hotel. This Cusco day trip will inspirit you for the next Stunning Inca places.
The first place we will visit is “ the cathedral of Cusco” and then The temple Of the san Called also Koricancha, followed by the Megalytic construction of Sacsayhuaman.

Last but not least, you visit Q’enqo the temple of the Puma, The fortress of Puca Pucara, and The Temple of the Water of Tambomachay.

End of this Cusco day trip at 18:00pm approx. And then you will have free time in the afternoon to explore Cusco city on your own.

FULL-DAY SACRED VALLEY TOUR + AGUAS CALIENTES

The tour to the Sacred Valley starts At 7:30 am, where our tourist transport will pick you up from your hotel, for then start our adventure through the mountains on the way to Pisac. On the way, you will make some stops, where we will be able to take pictures and appreciate the sacred valley of the Incas from a beautiful touristic viewpoint. Once in Pisac, you can visit the archaeological center: full of terraces and temples; and of course its artisan market. Afterward, you will go through the Sacred Valley to the town of Urubamba, where you will stop to take your lunch in a beautiful tourist restaurant, trying different types of dishes and unique flavors that can only offer you a great buffet lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, and you will know its history, magic, and culture Finally, you will take the train station to go from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes Town.

TOUR EN MACHUPICCHU

Early in the morning after breakfast (According to the time entrance ticket to Machu Picchu) We will come to the hotel and take you to take the bus toward Machu Picchu Inca city. You will travel for 30 minutes until you reach Machu Picchu Control. Then, you have a guided tour for about two hours, visiting the most important temples and sectors of Machu Picchu. It is important that you have to know that there are some restrictions to do in Machu Picchu, for example, the tour is one way, it is not allowed to come back to the places already visited. Once you will finish your guided tour you will take the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes town, where you will have time to enjoy lunch on your own. In the afternoon (according to your train schedule), you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your name. He will drop you at your hotel in Cusco city.

HALF DAY MORAY AND THE SALT MINES OF MARAS

At 8 am, our tourist transport will pick you up from your hotel, then start our adventure through the mountains on the way to Moray located in the Maras Region. Once there we can learn about the importance of this place, its function in the Inca era, and of course, Take great photos of this amazing place.

Then, we will go to the town of Maras to observe its colonial style covering the Spanish streets and gates. After 15 more minutes in our tourist transport, we will arrive at the Salt Mines of Maras, an impressive place with more than 3,000 salt deposits, which are still being exploited by the local population.

Finally, you will return to your hotel in Cusco, where you will spend the night

FULL-DAY RAINBOW MOUNTAIN TOUR

The tour starts from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 am approx, depending on your hotel location the pickup time will be quite different. Once the group is ready the great adventure will start in the direction of Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain. You travel by car for 2 hours approx in our tourist transport until arriving in the community of Cusipata. Here, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing with the tour. Continuing the Rainbow Mountain Tour, The car leaves the main road to take the dirt road for 45 minutes more. During the trip, you can observe beautiful landscapes, canyons, and beautiful glaciers such as The Ausangate Glacier (The biggest in the Cusco region).

After enjoying Rainbow Mountain which is one of the best Day Trips From Cusco, The Group starts the walk back to the parking and then to the community of Cusipata. Here, you have a delicious lunch and then return to the imperial city of Cusco. Finally, at the end of the Rainbow Mountain Tour, you return to Cusco.

HALF-DAY SOUTH VALLE TOUR IN CUSCO

The incredible South Valley Tour starts at 8:30 am approx. Our transportation will pass through your hotel to pick you up and start the magic South Valley Tour Cusco towards the South. After approximately 1 hour trip, you reach Tipón, an archaeological complex consisting of 12 cultivation terraces surrounded by beautiful walls built with carved stones. Then we will visit Pikillacta, it is a large urban center corresponding to the pre-Inca culture called WARI. The last point of the visit will be the incredible colonial village of Andahuaylillas where you visit its fantastic 16th-century church called also “the Sistine Chapel of America”.

At the end of this visit, you will return to Cusco city where transport will take you to the city center. Arriving at the city center at 2:30 pm approx.

FULL-DAY HUMANTAY LAKE TOUR ITINERARY

The Humantay Lake tour starts at 04:00 am approx from Cusco, depending on your hotel location the pickup time will be quite different. Once the group is ready the great adventure will start in the direction of Humantay Lake. You travel by car for 2 hours approx in our tourist transport until arriving in the community of Mollepata. Here, you enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing with the tour.

Continuing the Humantay Lake the group start hiking for 1.5 hours more approx. Upon reaching the incredible Humantay turquoise Lake, then you will come back to the van station and After 1 hour you get lunch in the same restaurant as in the morning. As the hike demands a lot of effort, the lunch is Buffet in order to recover all the energy lost in the hike.

Ending the Humantay Lake Tour, you return to Cusco where our van will take you to your respective hotel. Arrival is scheduled between 17:00 Hrs and 18 Hrs.

FULL DAY TO THE SUN’S ROUTE FROM CUSCO TO PUNO BY BUS.

The incredible Sun’s route Tour starts at 6:00 am approx. In the morning at the agreed time, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Bus station. Our first stop would be the chapel of Andahuaylillas Which is a church that dates back to the 17th century. Also known as La Sistina de Los Andes for the beauty of its murals. Then we will continue to Raqchi Also known as the Temple of the god VIRACOCHA, who was the supreme Inka deity, in this place we will find the largest number of Colcas (Barns) we will also see magnificent stone and adobe buildings.

After we will enjoy our lunch, which is a buffet and is included in the price of the ticket in the tourist restaurant LA PASCANA. Then we will visit La Raya to take beautiful photos and finally, we will visit the museum of Pukara where we can find ceramics and sculptures representing zoomorphic figures. LAKE TITICACA: THE FLOATING ISLAND – FIRST PART

The Uros, Amantani, and Taquile Islands are beautiful places located in the highest lake in the world where you will live an experience unique.

We will pass by your hotel at 07:30 hrs. Approx. where we will go with our tourist transport to the port of Puno to board the boats that will take us on this adventure, we will go to the Uros floating islands, where our guide will explain the living culture of this place and then have free time to explore by yourself. Then we will go to the Amantani for 2 hours and 30 minutes approximately where we will be welcomed by residents of the area, accompanied by the families we will have a short hike of 25 approximately minutes until we get to the family houses where we will have typical lunch food of the Zone base on trout after lunch we will settle down and rest to take a walk to the top of the island to see the Inca ceremonial temples “Pachamama and Pachatata”. where you can enjoy a delicious dinner with the local people. the families organize an Andean Show where we can dance and wear the local clothing.

TAQUILE ISLAND – PUNO PORT – SECOND PART

We will have a nutritious breakfast prepared with products that the inhabitants work on the island and then we will go to the Amantani port take our boat that will take us to the island of Taquile. Where we will have a walk to the main square from where we can observe the island and learn more about the customs and textiles, we will have free time to enjoy the landscape and have lunch in a restaurant (local food) and then descend to the Taquile port then we will return in our boat to the city when we arrive at the port of Puno our transport will be waiting to take you to your hotel.

TRAVEL FROM PUNO TO COLCA -JOURNEY TO COLCA

Between 6:00 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. Kantu Peru Tours will pick you up from your hotel in Puno To board and leave Puno at 06:30 AM., (6 hours of travel approx) along the way to Chivay, we will visit 3 places: Lagunillas, bird-watching flamingos, and Andean gulls, and mallards.
Pampa Cañahuas: where you can see the rock formations of the place and camelids such as vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas, then we will do the third stop, in the Mirador Patapampa of the Volcanoes, about 4,950 meters above sea level. Where you can appreciate the Misti, Chachani, and Ampato volcanoes. Around 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Approximately, arrival in Chivay (Installation at the hotel, Buffet Lunch) Optional: If you would like you can go to the relaxing thermal baths (La Calera) and medicinal thermal waters. range between 35º to 38º Celsius.

CHIVAY -CRUZ DEL CONDOR -RETURN TO AREQUIPA

AREQUIPA PEDESTRIAN CITY TOUR + SANTA CATALINA CONVENT

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and we will start with our pedestrian tour we will go to go to the church of the Company, then we will visit Main Square the Plaza de Armas-The Cathedral of Arequipa which is the main church and was built entirely in ashlar (stone of volcanic origin). Where we can take several photos then, we will go to the archbishopric of Arequipa, then to the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco de Arequipa located in the historic center of Arequipa.
